Read Deuteronomy 6:6-7 in the NABRE online

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength. And these words which I command thee this day, shall be in thy heart: and thou shalt tell them to thy children, and shalt think on them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest on the way, and when thou liest down and risest up.

Reflection

These commandments are to be on your hearts — first they are in you, then you teach them. The teaching is not a lesson but a way of life: at home, on the road, at bedtime, in the morning. The curriculum is everything.
