Read Ephesians 6:7-8 in the NABRE onlineWith a good will serving, as to the Lord, and not to men. Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man shall do, the same shall he receive from the Lord, whether he be bond, or free.
Reflection
Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people — because you know that each one, whether slave or free, will receive from the Lord whatever good he does. The reward is tied to the quality of the work, not the status of the worker.
