Fear not, for I am with thee: turn not aside, for I am thy God: I have strengthened thee, and have helped thee, and the right hand of my just one hath upheld thee.

Reflection

Four promises stacked together: I am with you, I am your God, I will strengthen you, I will hold you. Fear is answered by presence, not by argument.

Do not fear, I am with you

Four promises in one verse, each building on the last. The reason given for courage is never that the danger is small — it is always that God is present. The right hand that upholds is the same one that delivers.
