Read Psalm 139:13-14 in the NABRE online

Thou hast formed my bowels: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee, for thou art fearfully magnified: wonderful are thy works, and my soul knoweth right well.

Reflection

You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. The verb is intimate — knit, not assembled. The wonder is in the making itself, before any achievement or contribution. Your value was set before you were born.

Fearfully and wonderfully made

The verb is intimate — knit, not assembled. Your worth was established before you did anything, said anything, or earned anything. The wonder is in the making itself, and the making is God's, not your own.
